Please note: As of June 30th, the planetarium has closed.
All planetarium shows include a formal multi-media show and staff-led tour of the night sky to help you find objects that are currently visible. Weather and sky conditions permitting, evening shows may offer an optional outside sky-watching experience. Please allow 90 minutes for planetarium shows, unless otherwise noted.
Tickets should be purchased at the door. Please arrive approximately 15 minutes early to avoid congestion in the hallway. Early arrivals will be seated in the adjacent auditorium until the show starts. No admittance to anyone after the start time.
Show age suggestions are based on attention span needs, science content, and presentation styles. It also helps to prevent older adults from coming to a kindergarten targeted shows. In any case parents make the final decision, however young children must be able to sit quietly in the dark for the duration of the program. Patrons cannot leave once the show has started. To do so floods the theater with bright light and the show then will be paused for some minutes to allow the operators and the audience to regain their dark vision adaptation.
